It's the most wonderful time of the year!! (in Frank Sinatra's voice of course, because who doesn't adore him?!) I can't believe December is almost half over, time needs to SLOW DOWN!!
Last year around this time I hosted a holiday mixology class in Eugene at The Barn Light East with some incredible vendors! TBL East has such a darling event space, everything is white, making it the perfect blank canvas for parties and workshops. I decked out the place with gorgeous and festive floral arrangements and Christmas decor from Shamrock Flowers & Gifts.
Mark and Thomas (two of the owners of The Barn Light) taught me, and about twelve others how to make three cocktails, as well as the history behind the spirits we were using for the evening. They were a total hoot, ugly sweaters and all! We made Red Nose Punch, Traditional Irish Coffee and of course, The Rum Manhattan (all the cocktail recipe cards are available below, pair it with the ingredients and a couple custom cocktail stirrers like I did below, and you've got yourself a christmas gift!). Along with our beverages we had cupcakes from The Sassy Cupcake. They are always tasty and the perfect pairing, especially when one is a hot buttered rum cupcake-- umm YUMM!!!
Enjoy all these fun cocktails, and I highly recommend the Red Nose Punch for any holiday parties coming up (it serves about 12 people)!
ps. freeze the cranberries and a bit of water in a bunt cake mold for a festive way to keep the punch cold-- I gotch you.
